Buying a car from Korea, step by step
We handle the parts that are hard to do from abroad — checking the car in person, buying it, paperwork and shipping — and keep you informed at every stage.
Six steps from listing to delivery
- Step 1
Choose your car
Browse cars listed in Korea with photos, full specifications, the official inspection report and insurance history. Save favorites and compare them, or ask our team for a recommendation within your budget.
- Step 2
Reserve with a refundable deposit
Reserve the car online with a deposit of 10% of its price, paid by bank transfer. We hold the car for you for 24 hours while you transfer and upload the receipt, and our team confirms the reservation once the payment is verified. The deposit is refundable if we cannot secure the car or if our re-inspection finds problems that were not disclosed in the listing.
- Step 3
Independent re-inspection
Our team in Korea inspects the car in person before anything is bought. You receive photos and a video of the exterior, interior, engine bay and underbody, plus our notes, so you can confirm or step back.
- Step 4
We buy the car
Once you confirm, we purchase the car from the dealer or at auction on your behalf and take care of the deregistration and export paperwork in Korea.
- Step 5
Pay the balance
Once the car is bought, the balance — the rest of your total — is due within 2 days. Your order page shows the amount, the due date and our bank accounts; transfer the balance and upload the receipt there.
- Step 6
Storage, shipping & tracking
After full payment we clear the car for export in Korea and book the shipment. You can follow every stage on your order page — export clearance, the vessel and expected arrival, and customs — and download the documents you need to receive the car at your port.
What you pay
Your total is built from a few clear parts. Every amount is listed on your invoice before you pay.
Car price
The price of the car in Korea. The 10% deposit you pay to reserve it is deducted from this amount.
Shipping
Transport from Korea to your destination port. It depends on the destination, the shipping method and the size of the car.
Service fee
Covers re-inspection, purchasing, export paperwork, storage coordination and support until delivery.
Import duties & local fees
Customs duties, taxes, port charges and registration in your country are not included. They are paid locally according to your country’s rules.
Prices on the site shown in currencies other than Korean won are estimates based on current exchange rates. Your invoice states the final amount and currency.

Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. Your deposit is refunded in full if we cannot secure the car (for example, it sells to someone else first) or if our re-inspection finds significant problems that were not disclosed in the listing and you decide not to continue. Once the car has been purchased on your behalf, the deposit counts toward the price and cancellation follows our Terms of use.
What does the inspection report on each listing show?
Most cars sold by dealers in Korea carry an official performance and condition inspection. It records replaced or repaired body panels, frame damage, flood damage and the state of key mechanical parts. We show it as a body diagram and a checklist. It is prepared by a third party and is informational — that is why we re-inspect the car ourselves before buying.
What does the accident history mean?
The vehicle history comes from Korean insurance records. It lists insurance claims for damage to this car and damage it caused to other vehicles, with the amounts paid, plus owner changes and any flood, theft or rental use on record. A claim does not always mean serious damage — small cosmetic repairs are claimed too — so look at the amounts and the damage report together.
Which countries and ports do you ship to?
We export to many countries. Available routes, ports and shipping costs depend on your destination, so please contact us with your country and nearest port and we’ll confirm the options before you reserve a car.
How long does shipping take?
As a rough estimate, a car is usually ready to leave Korea within 1–3 weeks of full payment, and the sea voyage takes around 3–8 weeks depending on the destination and vessel schedules. These are estimates, not guarantees; we share the actual vessel and tracking details once the car is booked.
How do I pay?
Payments are made by bank transfer. After you reserve a car, your order page shows the amount due, our bank accounts and your order number to use as the transfer reference. Upload the transfer receipt there; we verify every payment and update your order.
Can I see the car on video before buying?
Yes. Our re-inspection includes photos and a video walk-around of the car, and you can ask us to check or film specific details. You decide whether to continue after reviewing them.
Which documents will I receive?
You receive the invoice, the export certificate (deregistration document), the bill of lading issued for the shipment and the inspection media. Your local customs broker or authority may ask for additional documents, so check your country’s import requirements early.
Can I buy cars from Korean auctions?
Auction buying is coming soon. When it launches, you will be able to request a bid on auction lots with a refundable deposit. Auction purchases must be paid within 2 business days, as auction houses require.
Are import duties included in the price?
No. Customs duties, taxes, port fees and registration in your country are paid by you locally. Import rules (age limits, emissions, steering side) differ by country, so please confirm the car can be imported before you reserve it.
